DARLA DAY is an indie singer/songwriter and worship leader based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA.

As an indie artist, Darla has released four full albums: Praise Him (2000), These Are The Days (2003), My Holiday (2005) and Believe (2014). In addition to her full albums, Darla has also released an EP featuring the popular Etta James classic "At Last" and various singles including her latest original release "Different" (2018).

Darla's heartwarming wedding song "Love of My Life (The Wedding Song)" has garnered unbelievable attention on YouTube. With over 27 million views, Darla’s love song has become a favorite played and sung at weddings around the world.

Although her true passion has always been leading praise and worship, Darla also enjoys performing as a "Retro Singer" for Bowling Green's Orchestra Kentucky. For several years, the retro show served as the Grand Finale for the Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. In the summer of 2012, Darla had the pleasure of performing songs like "At Last" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" to more than 18,000 music fans at the outdoor finale.

Before moving to Bowling Green in 1992, Albany, Kentucky was center stage for this small town girl. In the earlier days, Darla and her sister Ginger frequently performed at churches and community events throughout the region.

From childhood Darla's parents Jack and Pat Pierce encouraged Darla to lift her voice to the heavens. Raised in a loving, Christian home, Darla never knew what it was like to be without God in her life. Darla's day-to-day commitment has led her to fall more deeply in love with Jesus Christ and has given her a passion to reach the lost with His transforming gospel message.

Over the years, Darla has occupied several positions in the fields of music and broadcasting. While earning her bachelor's degree in broadcasting at Western Kentucky University, Darla worked at Nashville's Benson Records in the Promotions Department and as a radio disc jockey at several Bowling Green stations.

December 2000 marked the start of fulfilling a lifelong dream for this Christian indie artist. That Christmas season, Darla released her first full album Praise Him, a collection of fifteen uplifting, contemporary praise and worship songs. Each track represented a special, significant moment in Darla's Christian journey.

"God chose the songs that were to be placed on this recording," Darla explains, "and as a result, thousands of people have been touched, healed, comforted and have had their joy restored through the power of the Holy Spirit. God was honored and glorified throughout the recording process despite Satan's attempts to stop production. Many battles were won, and victory belongs to God as many people are continuing to experience freedom in Christ."

The success of Praise Him was widespread with units touching lives throughout the U.S. and reaching as far as Australia. During the 2000 Christmas season, Praise Him was one of the best selling compact discs at local Christian bookstores. The project's popularity soon hit local airwaves. In fact, Darla's original song "The Sweetness of Your Presence" was inducted into the "Smash Hit Hall of Fame" on WCVK, a regional Christian radio station in south central Kentucky.

Since that first album in 2000, Darla has gone on to release three more successful indie albums. She has since become a wife and the mom to a beautiful special needs child. So, what's to come? Only God knows!
